'A very wet October 2022 and difficult conditions during flowering meant the vines had plenty of capacity but moderate yields, with significant vegetative growth requiring hand work. Post set it was very dry and mild, with sunny days just below 30 degrees, resulting in a mild season and classically proportioned wines. Hand picked innumerous passes, the majority of the fruit is from vines close to 70 years old. Sorted, whole berries, manually broken up, and about 4 weeks on skins before maturation in French oak (65% larger format). Intense and lifted with blue fruits, pepper and earthiness, a medium bodied, balanced wine with silky tannins and a long, fine finish.'
