Osicka Selection Colbinabbin Cabernet Sauvignon 2024

This delicious Heathcote Cabernet from Simon Osicka is drinking beautifully now. It comes from his 'Osicka selection' range which began out of necessity during a bushfire affected vintage where no Estate wine could be made. Its fair to say that the opportunity to make wine from select fruit in other Heathcote vineyards was a huge success and the Osicka selection range is now a yearly offer. 

This wine opens with plenty of blackcurrant, mulberry and a touch of red liquorice, with hints of mint, cedar and gentle spice adding extra interest. The fruit is fresh and vibrant, balanced by fine tannins and just enough oak to give it structure without dominating. Rich enough to satisfy Cabernet lovers, but smooth and approachable, it's an impressive wine to share around the table now and should continue to develop nicely over the next few years.
